Bought my /99 Savage in June.Like it very much, easy to handle (first time cyclist), and looks good. But, I'm looking at larger bikes, esp. Kawasaki 800, Classic-~$9000.00. I really like the valanced look. But tnen I very comfortable with the Savage and have done 200mi. on a Sunday afternoon, every 50mi. smoke and "rearend break". Basically, I'm asking if there is such an advantage with an 800, because I've never ridden any other bike before. People are telling me a 650 is very nice but y'a gotta get an 1100. I liked the Yamaha V-Star but opted for the LS 650 and glad I did, but...
